Event
Extinction: Rift in the Aether Card Types
Events represent significant occurrences that can alter the course of the game. While they are shuffled into your deck, unlike other card types, events resolved immediately any time they would be drawn, and often provide powerful effects that can turn the tide of battle or create new strategic opportunities.
Overview
Events are often pivotal to gameplay due to their ability to create sudden and impactful changes in the game. Since they are resolved immediately if they would be drawn, they can provide immediate benefits, disrupt opponents, and create unexpected shifts in the game's momentum. Knowing the events in a deck can influence a player's tactical decisions. Players might prepare for the possible impact of powerful events and plan their moves accordingly.
Understanding the timing and potential impact of events, and how to integrate them effectively into a deck, is essential for mastering the game and executing successful strategies. By leveraging the unique abilities of event cards, players can create dynamic and unpredictable gameplay experiences.
Card List
Characteristics
Each event card features the following attributes:
- Name: Unique identifier of the Event.
- Element: One of four elements: Air, Earth, Fire, or Water.
- Rules Text: Describes the specific effect of the Event card.
Gameplay
Events have unique mechanics compared to other card types:
- Drawing and Resolving: If a player would draw an event card, it is immediately revealed, its effect is resolved, and it is then placed on the bottom of the player's deck. This means event cards never enter a player's hand or graveyard.
- Deck Construction: Each player's deck must include three event cards, matching the elements of their selected dinos. Players cannot have more than one copy of a unique event card in their deck.
